GIRLS, CORKS and FORKS from Kwilty Pleasures

Because Cork n Fork parties are fun!
I begin the preparation November 1st
when I put up a wine theme tree in my kitchen.
I absolutely LOVE this tree!

I use wooden wine boxes as the tree collar!

2022 was spent collecting 'bunches of grapes' at thrift stores.
And I covered this tree every color of grape possible.

I also needed lots of texture...from grapevine wreaths
to glittery ornaments.

And lots of corks wrapped in fabric as ornaments

And a topper fitting for any winery tree!
Grapevine leaves and all.

This is the 3rd year I have hosted (as ...

Sew Thankful Sunday, December 2021 from The Crafty Quilter

{I love the idea of “paying it forward”. I think the world would be a better place if we could spread some joy and acknowledgement of good deeds done by others. I try to do that once a month for my Sew Thankful Sunday posts. I highlight some great content that I’ve found on other people’s blogs that I hope will inspire you and reward the originator by bringing traffic to their site. If your blog has been mentioned without your consent, please let me know and I will take you off the current list of featured bloggers ...

CLAN GORDON TREE from Kwilty Pleasures

Welcome to my Great Room and
The Clan Gordon Christmas Tree.
I have many trees each year,
My Scottish Theme Tree and Mantle
transports Clan Gordon to Scotland each year.
Even Santa has a bagpipe!

It all begins with the tree.
Much to my chagrin...this is what happened
when I plugged in my pre-lit tree. Once lights begin to go...
I don't trust them any more.
I love this tree as it has many kinds of branches
so, I opted to do a crazy thing.

I took wire clips and cut off  ALL the lights.
I have done ...

And The Stockings Were Hung.... from Luann's Loose Threads

A belated Merry Christmas to you.   I had planned to post this before Christmas, but time got away from me.

As you can see, the stockings weren't hung by the chimney with (or without) care.   I believe one of the last times I hung our family stockings on the fireplace, one of the filled stockings fell on our cat who loves to lay in front of the fire.  Another year I put some chocolate in the stockings.  We have a gas fireplace, so it comes on as easy as turning on a light switch.  That chocolate was pretty squishy ...

Christmas Decorating 2019 First Group from Quilts + Color

It's amazing I was able to do as much decorating as I did as I gave my middle child a whole truckload of some great things I had stored in the garage.
I thought there were 2 bins left, but I gave it ALL to him.
I added some things around the base of the tree and it looks different with the new quilt.

I did save a bin of greens and berries so I was able to add to this vignette to make it Christmasy.
I'm sharing the top 2 tiers of my corner bakers rack that ...
